Gas Detection Connect offers a versatile user and role management. Admins can create individual accounts with a name, contact details and an internal ID. Access rights can be defined with individual group role settings. Company, location, job title, Department and work group can all be added to identify each user with ease. Additional information can also be added in a separate comment.
Step-by-step guide
1) Navigate to User management
2) Click on + to create a new user
3) Enter user information
Last name (mandatory)
First name (mandatory)
User ID: Used to log in and to access configuration on the X-dock.
X-dock password: Used to log in on the X-dock.
Virtual ID: Individual ID to identify the user and to synchronize with external systems.
Company: Associated company
Location: User's location information
Job title: User's job information
Role (mandatory): User's role. Configurable via Role management
Department: User's department information
Work group: Associated work group
Email (mandatory): User's email address
Phone number: User's phone number
Comment: Additional user information
4) Click on save
5) The user is now created and will receive two e-mails with the login information.
- Password setup: Follow link from email with title “Welcome to Dräger” to set up the password and multi factor authentication (optional)
- X-dock password: For accounts with X-dock access privileges set via the selected role, the X-dock password is sent in a separate mail – title: “Welcome to Gas Detection Connect”
6) The user can now log in at gdc.draeger.com, using the login credentials provided in the initial email.
