Introduction
In the Gas Detection Connect live monitoring the position, movement, and status of persons and gas detection devices, e. g. in the event of an alarm, are accessible regardless of time and location. Alarms are visualized with red colors on the map and in the safety bar at the top of the screen.
Alarm indicators
Alarm events are visualized in 3 areas in GDC live monitoring:
- Navigational content on the left hand side of the screen. Alarms are are always displayed at the top of the user list.
- Map with a dedicated icon at the location of the alarm.
- HUD on the right hand side with the alarm icon and the respective device channel highlighted in red. To open the HUD, click on the user in the navigational content on the left hand side or the icon on the map.
- Safety bar at the top of the screen. The safety bar is visible in all areas of Gas Detection Connect so that alarms cannot be overlooked while working on another Gas Detection Connect page.
Navigating to an alarm
There are multiple ways to jump to an alarm location on the map:
- Double click the user in the navigational content on the left hand side of the screen
- Click on the "Focus on x alarms" button above the user list.
- Single click on a user and click on the "Center view" button in the blue bar on the lower right corner of the screen.
