General
X-dock firmware 04.02.01 or newer is required to support Smart Config.
How to create and edit configuration template
- Navigate to GDC asset management table
- Click "Config" Icon in upper right corner
- Create new template with click on "New" button. To edit an existing template click on pencil icon for the respective template.
- Template Options:
- Configuration overview
- Name: Name of the template
- Last changed: Date on which the template was last edited.
- Changed by: Name of the user who last edited the template.
- Used by: Number of devices using the template
- Device settings
- Accoustic life signal: Determines if the visual life signal of the gas detector is accompanied by an acoustic signal.
- Visual life signal (not configurable): Determines if the visual life signal of the gas detectors is active.
- Motionless alarm: Determines if the detection of motionless alarms is enabled in the gas detector.

Switch-off mode: settings to configure allowed switch-off behavior

Exposure parameter settings: TWA duration in minutes

Bump test interval: Bump test settings and interval configuration
- Calibration interval: Calibration settings and pre-warning configuration
- Quick menu settings: Configuration of quick menu setting availability personal air monitors (Pac & X-am)

How to assign a configuration template to a device
Templates can be assigned to individual devices or multiple at once.
- Single device:
- Select device in asset management and open device menu (double click on device in list or with pen icon in blue bar at the bottom of the page).
- Select template from "Fleet configuration" menu and save
- The template is automatically applied to the device via X-dock during the next bump test or calibration
- Multiple devices:

To select multiple devices from a list:
- SHIFT + Click selects a range. Click the first device, hold SHIFT, then click the last device to select everything in between.
- CTRL (or CMD on Mac) + Click selects multiple individual devices. Hold CTRL/CMD while clicking each device to add or remove it from the selection.
- Click on Edit/pencil icon at the bottom of the page.
- Select "Configuration Template" column, choose template that shall be assigned to the selected devices, click "Add" and "Save"
- The template is automatically applied to the device via X-dock during the next bump test or calibration

How to check status of template distribution
Check "Configuration template" column in devices table:
- "Pending" shows devices were a template was assigned to a device, but not yet applied (e.g. because the device was not tested in a connected X-dock yet)
- Individual configuration: Device has no template assigned and is using another configuration
